Each year Next Steps NH adds four more schools to the project. Today, the NH Department of Education Bureau of Special Education released the application for the next cohort: Cohort 3 Next Steps NH Application. Applications are due March 27, 2015. If your school is selected, your school staff will receive professional development and coaching to implement evidenced-based transition practices that help students prepare for college, career, and adult life. There is a particular focus on increasing the use of Extended Learning Opportunities (ELOs). In addition, cohort schools have the option of implementing Rehabilitation for Empowerment, Natural Supports, Education, and Work (RENEW). Informational webinars to help guide school districts through the application process will be offered on:
Wed., February 18, 2015, 9-10:30 a.m.
Fri., February 20, 2015, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
To register for one of the webinars, please email your name, SAU #, position, and phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org. You must register ahead of time in order to get the webinar link and code.
