February 20, 2018 New Hampshire Family Voices, the Parent Information Center and the YEAH Council invite you to the Partnering for Strength Conference 2018 on Saturday, April 7 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, NH. Partnering for Strength is really two conferences with a common focus. There are two sets of sessions:
- The Adult Sessions. These sessions are developed around the concept of providing information and opportunities for parents and professionals to develop the skills and knowledge to partner more effectively. This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Ross Greene who will be sharing his his strategies for addressing challenging behavior.
- The Youth Sessions. The youth sessions are built around the theme, “Finding the “I” in Independence.” The YEAH Council takes the lead in planning the theme and coordinating sessions for youth with disabilities and/or special health care needs ages 14 through 26. This year’s youth keynote is John Fenley who has made it his calling to speak openly and passionately about his experiences in the hope that it might inspire others to join the disability rights movement.
Join us for a day where parents, youth, family leaders, professionals, and other partners from across New Hampshire come together for interactive sessions on issues that impact children and youth with disabilities and/or special health care needs and their families. Come meet someone new, learn from each other, and explore shared goals, challenges, and visions. We are excited about this opportunity for us all to learn and grow in our knowledge of supports, services, and resources for children, youth and families.
Pre-registration is required and includes breakout sessions, a full lunch buffet and refreshments throughout the day:
