2024 NH COP Education Series Starts Jan 4

The NH Transition State Community of Practice (NH COP) is again offering a robust lineup of timely topics in one hour Zoom sessions on the first Thursday of the month, 9 – 10 am, as part of the regular NH Transition Community of Practice meeting.

You are welcome to stay for the second hour, 10 – 11 am, which is the regular meeting with lots of good resource sharing.

January 4 – Keys to a Collaborative Partnership with Brigid Griffin and Brenda Simmons from NTACT:C (National Technical Assistance Center on Transition). Learn about keys to collaboration from national experts on transition.

February 1 – Advocacy in Action with Carrie Duran, Lakes Region Community Services. Hear from a legislative liaison about how to engage with the legislative process.

March 7 – Health Care Transition: From Tools to Action with Ansley Peacock and Sylvia Pelletier, NHFV. Learn how to take the information learned from transition tools and put it into action.

April 4 – Higher Education Options for Students in New Hampshire with Ariel Schwartz, UNH-4U. Hear about inclusive higher education opportunities including Think College, Post Secondary Alliance, and UNH-4U.

May 2 – Mental Health First Aid with Suzanne Weete, Community Partners. Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues.

June 6 – Accessibility and Disability Services in College with Dennis Green, SNHU. Learn the process for documenting a disability and determining necessary and appropriate accommodations.
