Back by popular demand! Next Steps NH is offering a second chance to take the FREE 6-week, online training course, Best Practices in Transition Planning. The first one, currently finishing up, filled within a couple weeks with a long waiting list.
The course will be offered on the Canvas online learning platform and includes a combination of reading, videos, Powerpoint slides, handouts and activities. We estimate it will take about six hours to complete – it’s self-paced, with new modules released every couple weeks.
Taught by Heidi Wyman from the Strafford Learning Center, the course covers transition assessment, teaching self-determination skills, and strategies for engaging families in transition planning.
Who should take it? Almost anyone: parents, classroom and special education teachers, administrators, case managers, paraprofessionals, vocational rehabilitation counselors.
The course opens April 16, 2018 and runs through June 1, 2018.
Register using a Google Form before the March 23, 2018 deadline. Register early as we expect this one to fill up before the deadline!
