There are some tech webinars for students coming up via the PACER Center, and they’re free! The PACER Center is the Minnesota Parent Training and Information Center, funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs. We have one in New Hampshire too – the Parent Information Center. The PACER Center provides training and resources nationwide.

- Tech for Teens Club : Intro to Coding & Video Games. Saturday, April 16, 2022, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm (Eastern time)
Introduces teens with disabilities to the fundamentals of coding through the use of MIT’s Scratch online software. Teens will create interactive games and stories while developing basic programming skills. This workshop is designed for students with basic computer skills, but no previous coding knowledge is required. Students of all abilities are encouraged to attend.
- Tech for Girls Club: Earth Day – Cleaning an Ocean Oil Spill. Saturday, April 23, 2022, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm (Eastern time).
Ocean spills have far-reaching impacts. In honor of Earth Day, we’ll explore the impacts of oil spills and how scientists help the environment and animals recover.
- Help Organize Me! : Part Three – Doing the Schedule. Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 1:00 – 2:00 pm (Eastern time)
Part three in an executive function series geared towards older students. Provides strategies and tools for doing and following through on a schedule, calendar, task list, and time management. You can register whether or not you watched the first two.
- Succeed at Work: Tools to Support Executive Function. Wednesday, May 4, 2022, 1:00 – 2:15 pm (Eastern time)
This workshop will explore technology to support executive function at work. Topics will include managing time, staying organized, completing tasks, and maintaining focus using devices and mobile apps.
