The 16th Annual Transition Summit will be Friday, November 18, 2022, from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Grappone Center in Concord. There will also be an online option. Save the Date flyer
This year’s theme is When Students Program the GPS. Our goal is to highlight student-led practices and new directions in the field, with tips and tools for transition and fostering student advocacy.
This year we would love to have lots of presentations from people working on the front lines of transition. If you are doing something that works, please share it! If you have a colleague doing something really great, encourage them to share it. Offer to stand at their side to offer moral support, or chime in with your perspective on their work. The more the merrier.
The Planning Committee reviewed feedback from last year’s Summit evaluations and identified four areas of focus for this year:
- Promising practices/programs and collaborative approaches
- Strategies to address a changing environment
- Strategies for using technology in transition
- Strategies for embedding student-led practices in your work
We invite you to submit a presentation proposal in one of these areas. The Summit is a friendly crowd and people love to learn from their peers. Team up with a colleague for a joint session! You get free admission to the Summit when you present too! Presentation guidelines and proposal form
Proposals are due June 17, 2022. If that timing is too tight, please contact Heidi to give her your general ideas.
The Transition Summit is New Hampshire’s statewide transition conference featuring high-quality professional development on supporting youth with disabilities and their families with the transition to postsecondary education, employment, and independent living.
