WorkReadyNH is a free, federally-funded program to help job-seekers and career builders improve their skills and add two nationally recognized credentials to their resume.
It’s a three week course, completely free to participants, offered almost monthly on NH Community College campuses. Participants attend 60 hours of classroom instruction in a simulated workplace setting where they learn and practice skills in the areas of:
- Job interviews
- Workplace safety
- Communication skills
- Team-building & conflict resolution
- Problem-solving
- Meetings
- Customer service
In addition, they improve essential math, reading and problem-solving skills through online self-paced tutorials.
Participants must be:
- NH residents
- 18 years of age or older
- Not full time students
- Have at least a grade 6 reading ability
- Have basic math skills
